Polish citizenship can be obtained in two ways:
President of Poland
Polish citizenship is granted by Polish President. Foreigner can apply for citizenship through the correct voivode. The President can give polish citizenship at his own discretion.
Recognition of a Polish citizenship
Granting Polish citizenship can be based on the application of the foreigner to the correct voivode. However, the foreigner must continuously remain In Poland for the period of at least 3 years and have either a status of a long-term resident or permanent residence permit. Also necessary is the knowledge of Polish language at B1 level
